Want your soccer team to score more goals? Scoring from Wide Areas

Part of the series: Sessions

About this video

This session focuses on creating scoring chances from wide areas of the field. I break down the movements of the front 4 attacking players, and we look at the practical realities of youth players crossing from the right and left sides of the field, taking into account that most players at this age are NOT two footed yet! This is more of a "functional" practice format - I've wrapped it in a play-practice-play wrapper, but this type of practice is a little more direct and prescriptive, as we are explicitly teaching the players the exact movements and paths they should take to arrive in front of the goal to meet the cross. 00:00 - Kick-off! 03:10 - Welcome Activity 1 04:26 - Welcome Activity 2 (conditioned game) 05:19 - Crosses from Right Side 8:18 Coaching points from the right 9:13 Crosses from the Left 11:04 Coaching points from the left 11:22 Conditioned game phase 2 11:43 End game 12:03 Observations 13:42 Real world results 14:44 Wrap-up Amazon Coaching Items: Kwik Goal Digital Ball Pump: https://amzn.to/4blZmoK Small Tactics Board: https://amzn.to/48Ug0tP Small Magnets (Light): https://amzn.to/43iHk3S Small Magnets (Dark): https://amzn.to/3wUh6bM Big White Board: https://amzn.to/3x0NBoU Large Soccer Tactics Board: https://amzn.to/3VhzO7d Large Magnets: https://amzn.to/48RGiNv Large Magnets: https://amzn.to/3VfQxIc Waterproof Stickers: https://amzn.to/3Vfhn3b soccer strategies and tactics, coaching soccer formations and tactics, best soccer formations, soccer drills for kids, best 7v7 soccer formations, football tactics for beginners As a memeber of the Amazon Affiliate program, I earn a small commission off items you may buy off these links.
